John is currently an IB Economics (HL) teacher at a top international school in Shanghai for both grade 11 and grade 12 students. He has been teaching Economics and Business Management for 3 years and is currently responsible for over 80 full-diploma students in his program. He specializes in making complicated economic concepts simple for students to understand, and also specializes in improving their internal assessment commentary work. Mr. Werner also is extremely effective in helping students on reading comprehension, which is a big part of both the IB Economics Paper 2, TOEFL Test and SAT Exam. He can make any topic interesting, and easy to learn. He can greatly improve any student's ability to express their ideas and organize information. John has an MBA from University of Wisconsin and had a career in accounting and finance before switching his career to education. So, his business background enables him to give students a “real-world” understanding of otherwise abstract (and sometimes boring) Economic theories.
